Responsibilities

About This Position

Reports to the Director of Surgical Services. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation and documentation of surgical patients. Overall responsibility is for the nursing care of patients and for maintaining standards of nursing practice and optimal outcomes.

Selection Criteria:

  • Flexibility to function in an ambulatory surgery setting. Including responsibilities of surgical patient preparation and discharge and performing procedures based on medical direction or hospital policy. Preoperative Preparation/Discharge. Procedural Sedation, required.

  • Procedural Nurse (GI, stress tests, interventional radiology, transfusions, wound care, required.

  • Graduate of an accredited RN program, required.

  • ACLS Wound Care Certification PICC Line Certificatoin All within 6 months of hire, required

  • Nursing Assessment, Planning, Implementation and Evaluation of Patient Care, required

  • CT CPRACLS , CT CPRBLS , RN, CA R.N. license, required.
