The purpose of Dignity Health Management Services Organization (Dignity Health MSO) is to build a system-wide integrated physician-centric, full-service management service organization structure. The Database Administrator is an Information Technology professional who is knowledgeable in the field of relational database management systems (RDBMS). Performs tasks associated with database management and data exchange. Responsible for the installation, configuration, upgrading, administration, monitoring, maintenance, and security of databases. Responsible for designing, planning, documenting, programming, testing, installing, troubleshooting, and training users of custom SQL/ ETL applications, both internal to Dignity Health Management Services and Internet-based.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Four-year degree required in a relevant field of study, preferably in Computer Science preferred. Relevant work experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Visual Studio.NET, BizTalk or other ETL applications.
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Demonstrate proficiency and knowledge of SQL (preferably T-SQL), SQL performance tuning, and SQL Server monitoring.
Demonstrate proficiency with database management tasks including but not limited to backup/ restore, transaction log replication, index management and role/ schema based security.
Ability to develop and deploy ETL solutions.
Working knowledge of an industry standard programming language, such as C++, Java, Visual Basic.NET, Visual C#.NET.
Ability to identify complex problems, develop and evaluate options, and implement solutions.
Ability to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines and achieve objectives in a timely manner while ensuring work is highly accurate and exact.
Strong and comprehensive problem-solving abilities. Ability to identify complex issues and problems within operations, program systems, administrative activities, and other relevant areas.
Excellent communication skills; able to read, write, and speak articulately, using established channels of communication and reporting relationships within the organization. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of internal/external staff, management, vendors, etc.
Ability to effectively provide feedback to team members through written and verbal communication
Must be attentive to detail, accurate, thorough, and persistent in following through to completion of all activities, demonstrating initiative for completing work assignments
