Clinical Aide - Patient Transportation
St. John's Hospital Camarillo
We are currently seeking a reliable and empathetic Clinical Aide to join our healthcare team. As a Clinical Aide you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and comfortable transfer of patients within our medical facility. Your responsibilities will include transporting patients to and from various departments while providing a supportive and compassionate experience
Responsibilities
Safely transport patients to different areas of the hospital for scheduled appointments, tests, and procedures.
Ensure proper patient identification and verify destination with medical staff.
Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals, maintaining a caring and respectful demeanor.
Maneuver and operate transport equipment, such as wheelchairs and stretchers, with safety and efficiency.
Assist patients in and out of beds, chairs, and other transport devices as needed.
Collaborate with nursing and other healthcare staff to prioritize patient transport needs.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of transport equipment.
Qualifications
High School Diploma.
Hospital experience working with patient transportation preferred.
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Pay Range
$19.14 - $24.51 /hour
