CommonSpirit Health General/Trauma Surgery Faculty Physician in Gilbert, Arizona

Title: Faculty Surgeon– General/Trauma Surgery

Reports to: Academic Chair, Surgery

ABOUT THE POSITION:

Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG) is seeking a faculty surgeon within the Division of Trauma, Acute Care Surgery, and Surgical Specialties to join our team at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, a Level III trauma center. The ideal candidate will be board eligible/certified in general surgery with experience in trauma. Candidates should have interest in education/teaching of medical students and surgical residents, and have a passion for high quality and clinical care. Excellent communication skill is a must and willing to work in a high volume matrix environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • MD or DO Degree

  • ABS Board Certification/Eligibility in General Surgery

  • Trauma Surgery experience preferred

  • Must have or be eligible for medical licensure in Arizona.

  • ATLS certification

  • Completed ACGME Residency training program

  • Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital privileges at Dignity Health Arizona hospitals

  • A passion for providing clinically excellent care
