Responsibilities

  • The Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) I is an entry level practitioner who has recently completed the education and training required to obtain a Respiratory Care license. The RCP I will have completed the minimal level I skills and competencies required to provide care at a safe level for the adult Medical/Surgical patient. The RCP I, with additional training, will also provide care as a member of the code blue and ED/Trauma teams as assigned.

Qualifications

RCP I: May be an entry level practitioner who has recently completed an AMA approved Respiratory Care Program and has completed the minimal level objectives required to provide care at a safe level for the adult Medical-Surgical floors.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Current BLS required.

  • Completion of all level I skills and competencies
