Responsibilities

The Clinic Coordinator is a skilled and experienced professional Registered Nurse responsible for excellence in the clinical practice of nursing and the management of the clinic patient. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the lifespan. Able to assess data reflective of the patient status and interpret information needed to identify each patient's requirement relative to his/her age-specific need, and to provide appropriate care as defined by policy/procedures. The Clinic Coordinator's primary focus is the promotion of a comprehensive program which includes are operative and post operative patient evaluation and support protocols to address the intense preparation and lifestyle changes required of bariatric surgery patients.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum two years in acute care hospital

  • Experience with the morbidly obese population is strongly preferred

  • Management skills are necessary to work independently

Education/Certification:

  • Completion of an accredited nursing program

  • Current California Registered Nursing license

  • Current BLS

  • ACLS within 6-months of employment
