The Hope Street Margolis Family Center is a nationally recognized, upstream preventative health program of California Hospital Medical Center. As part of a broader national effort to reduce health disparities and optimize child and family wellbeing, Hope Street provides a continuum of educational, medical, mental health, child welfare, developmental, and youth services that support families and children from birth through adulthood.

Responsibilities

The Mental Health Clinician provides high quality home/community-based mental health services for children and their families. He/she is responsible for supervising the interdisciplinary family service team and ensures that services are provided in adherence with the service plan. The Mental Health Clinician will be supervised by a licensed clinical supervisor in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Board of Behavioral Science Examiners. Must demonstrate professional skills in diagnosis and assessment (if Master's level) case management treatment planning psychotherapy (if Master's level) and utilization review.

The Mental Health Clinician will operate in accordance with all regulations and standards of the State of California Board of Behavioral Science Examiners (if Master's level) the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health and the Department of Child and Family Services.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Experience providing services to at-risk children and families through the Department of Mental Health and the Department of Children and Family Services.

  • A minimum of one year's experience in an academic internship delivering child welfare and mental health services.

  • Wraparound experience/training.

Education

  • BA degree with at least two years providing intensive services.

  • M.A. degree in Social Work

Pay Range

$30.49 - $44.20 /hour
