Responsibilities

  • Manages the operations for maintenance, repair and improvement of physical systems and equipment, vendor relations, and cost control of a facility and/or campus in a healthcare environment.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of major systems and operations: boilers, HVAC, medical gas systems, mechanical-electrical systems energy management systems, code compliance and enforcement, blue print and construction documents.

  • Managing and directing operations management for maintenance, repair and improvement of physical systems and equipment, vendor relations, and cost control.

  • Keeps knowledge and ensures compliance on rules, regulations, licensure, accreditation and laws applicable to hospital and department operations.

  • Manages and coaches others to achieve optimal performance which includes delegation; performance management, defines clear roles and responsibilities, and adjusts plans as necessary.

  • Managing People, Projects and/or Tasks Manages collaboratively and coaches others to achieve optimal performance; delegates effectively; praises/rewards contributions; defines clear roles and responsibilities; sets goals and leads initiatives; adjusts plans as necessary.

  • Patient/Customer Focus Ensuring that the patient/customer perspective is a driving force behind our actions and business decisions; crafting and implementing service practices that meet patients'/customers' and own organization’s needs. (Focus also includes internal and external customers.)

  • Empowerment and Delegation Sharing authority and responsibility with others to move decision making and accountability downward through the organization enabling individuals to stretch their capabilities and accomplish the business unit’s strategic priorities.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Minimum of three (3) years plant operations/facilities experience or a related field.

  • Associates degree and/or combination of education and managerial experience in a related field in lieu of the degree required.

Pay Range

$38.81 - $56.28 /hour
