Overview

Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta is a member of the Dignity Health system of health care providers and is a not-for-profit medical facility. We are designated as a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital and are accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health care Organizations. In addition to our acute care hospital we also own and operate two Rural Health Clinics providing walk-in immediate care as well as scheduled appointments for routine medical needs.We are located in the northernmost area of California and are part of a network of care including Mercy Medical Center Redding and St. Elizabeth Community Hospital in Red Bluff. Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Incumbent works under the direct supervision of the Staff Nurse and/or licensed medical practitioner in caring for the clinical patient and providing the best possible individualized nursing care in a timely manner with emphasis on cost containment.

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • One (1) year experience in an outpatient medical office or physician clinic setting required

  • Medical terminology ability to clearly communicate and understand English required

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite required

  • Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of experience in a clinical setting preferred

  • Associates degree in a related field preferred

  • Working knowledge of state supported programs specific to rural health clinics and Medical Assistant certification preferred

  • Spanish speaking skills preferred

Pay Range

$20.58 - $23.04 /hour
