Responsibilities

In keeping with the Dignity Health core values, the Ultrasound Tech I performs diagnostic medical sonographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision to technical detail and performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative.

This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications

Minimal Requirements:

  • Less than one (1) year experience in Abdomen, OB/Gyn, Color Doppler and Neurosonography.C

  • Current BLS certification, ARDMS certified and must be current with continuing education units required by the licensing board of the ARDMS required.

  • Must be well versed in both general and cross sectional anatomy, as well as physiology.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of (must be familiar with) Ultrasound procedures, both diagnostic and intervention,

  • Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with patients, staff and physicians,

Special Skills:

Active member of a major diagnostic professional society preferred. Have the ability to work independently and be a functional team member in a team oriented environment and be self motivated and able to achieve results through good organizational skills.
