Responsibilities
Job Summary:
Under general supervision prepares seasons and cooks food for hospital patients employees visitors and catering events according to departmental procedures. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support the Organization's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).
Qualifications
Minimum:
Two (2) years food service experience.
ServSafe® Allergen and Food Handler Certifications. If not currently certified, certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Basic communication skills and mathematical ability Appropriate food preparation skills and technique Ability to read follow oral and written procedures Ability to communicate in English
Preferred:
- Formal Culinary training
Pay Range
$23.56 - $26.74 /hour
