Responsibilities

The Radiographer III Lead, under the general supervision of the Department of Medical Imaging Management andunder the direction of the Radiologist, performs high quality diagnostic imaging exams and other duties as assignedwithin the California State and national license scope of practice. Responsible for operating complex imagingequipment, both mobile and stationary, in various patient care settings for purposes of obtaining quality diagnostic

images in at least three modalities. Inputs and retrieves data from the Hospital Information System (HIS), RadiologyInformation System (RIS) and Picture Archival and Communication System (PACS). Works assigned shifts within the

department performing any and all job assignments in an accurate and timely manner. Leadership duties include, but are not limited to, involvement in the department quality improvement process in monitoring image quality and reportingresults to Management, monitoring operational effectiveness and recommending process improvement processes. Thisposition requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Community Hospital of SanBernardino. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS : Minimum of eighteen (18) months supervisory experience is required. Minimum of two (2) years experience in an acute care hospital, performing a variety of general diagnostic procedures utilizing ionizing radiation is preferred.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Graduate from an accredited JRCERT Medical Radiography School and have passed the entry level radiography board examination from the ARRT.

LICENSURES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS:

American Registry of Technologists Certification (either state or national where appropriate) in three advanced modalities.

May include: Radiography and Flouroscopy (ARRT and CRT), Computer Tomography (CT-ARRT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR-ARRT) or Sonography (ARDMS). Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) is required. ACLS is preferred.

California Flouroscopic Radiologic Technologist Permit must be obtained within 6 months of hire date.

Cardiovascular Imaging Specialists: Are required to have documented competency in lieu of state or national licensure for a second modality. ARRT certification in Cardiovascular imaging is preferred.

Qualifications

May include : Radiography and Fluoroscopy (ARRT and CRT), Computed Tomography (CT-ARRT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR-ARRT), or Sonography (ARDMS). (i.e. Nuclear Medicine). California Fluoroscopic Radiologic Technologist Permit must be obtained within 6 months of hire date. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for cardiovascular imaging specialists is preferred.
